October is such a fun month to see everyone’s imagination on display. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved creating Halloween costumes and decorations.
Over the summer while browsing a garden center, I saw a rain cloud decoration suspended from the ceiling and was inspired..thinking this could make an interesting costume.
Earlier in the month, I attended an “80’s-themed” party celebrating Leadership Aurora’s 40th year. Guests were encouraged to dress in “80’s attire”. Of course, another opportunity to curate a costume was not to be missed.
The Aurora Chamber isn’t the only group bringing back the 80’s. Thanks to the recent movie sequel, ‘Beetlejuice’ is one of the most popular costumes this season according to Real Simple magazine.
On the 31st, I’ll be attending my first “Pet Parade” at the Heather Gardens community. I am super excited to see all the creativity and cuteness! In the meantime, I will share this photo of my dog, Stella, dressed as a Monarch butterfly. A homemade costume, of course!
